A small team.
A single belief.
Most of the AI tools out there are wrappers. We're building the part underneath — the workbench that turns a prompt into shipped work.
Vonq AI started in 2025 in a co-working space above a bakery in Amsterdam-West. We had built AI features inside three different startups and noticed the same thing every time: the model wasn't the bottleneck. The plumbing around it was.
So we set out to make the plumbing invisible. Not abstracted away — visible when you want it, gone when you don't. A workbench where every team member can spark, tune, evaluate and ship without learning four different tools.
Today we're a team of seven, fully remote across the Netherlands, Berlin and Lisbon. We ship every week.

Founders, a fund, no hype
Four rules we keep coming back to.
Every week, something is in production.
Cycles longer than seven days hide problems. So we keep them shorter.
We read the code before we touch it.
Even when it's our own. Especially when it's our own.
If we can't explain it, it's not a feature yet.
Magic is just complexity you didn't think about.
We design for people who already have a job to do.
Vonq is meant to disappear into their workflow, not replace it.
